Brigitte Bleu, actress and mother of Ivorian influencer Apoutchou National, has made an impassioned plea in a live TikTok video. She protested against the baseless attacks and accusations she has been subjected to on social media amid the imprisonment of Lionel PCS and her son Apoutchou.
Exhausted and exasperated, Brigitte Bleu, a renowned actress in Ivory Coast, has finally broken her silence amidst the persistent attacks she has been facing since the incarceration of her son, Stéphane Agbré, known by his pseudonym Apoutchou National. On her social platforms, the influencer’s mother has strongly reacted against the media and public vilification targeting her.
All this started with a picture shared by the actress, showing Apoutchou National alongside young sports bettor Lionel PCS, who is still held at the Abidjan Penitentiary Pole. Accompanied with a message of hope, this publication triggered a wave of criticism, with some accusing Brigitte Bleu of trying to manipulate public opinion or downplay the extent of the case which broke out in November 2024.
“Don’t increase my tension, don’t make me sick! God has given me a second chance to live, I’m happy. Let me live my life. Before Apoutchou, Lionel PCS, I was Bleu Brigitte,” stated Brigitte Bleu in a widely shared video.
The visibly drained actress reiterated that her son “is not the first prisoner on earth” and demanded to be left in peace. According to her, the accusations leveled against her are baseless and indicate a persistent misunderstanding from the public: “Free my life!” she cried out, in a plea of desperation.
This speech occurs in a tense context where numerous internet users speculate about a possible discreet release of Apoutchou National, while Lionel PCS is reportedly still in custody. Brigitte Bleu, on her part, is now calling for restraint and an end to hasty judgements, emphasizing everyone’s right to live without harassment.
