Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, spoke about the essential criteria that, for her, determine the future of a romantic relationship. In an interview with the American magazine Complex, the writer of Love Me Jeje said she could never date someone who is cold or lacking in curiosity.

According to the star, a relationship loses all meaning if one partner is neither attentive nor genuinely interested in the other. « For me, if someone doesn’t even try to be your friend, that’s already a bad sign. And if that person shows no curiosity about you, it’s even worse. Honestly, what’s the point? Why be together if you don’t want to get to know me? », she said.

Tems believes you should end any relationship in which the other person doesn’t try to learn more about you : « If he or she doesn’t want to learn more about you, it’s better to leave. » Openly romantic, the singer says she nevertheless moves forward with caution, shaped by certain past experiences. Today, she says she wants to focus above all on self-love.
