The Miss Ivory Coast 2005, Sery Dorcas, known for her involvement in the media world, shared a personal revelation about her youthful ambition during her appearance on the Show Buzz program on NCI channel.

Having taken a break from television appearances, which raised questions among her admirers, Dorcas explained her absence during her return to the small screen. Formerly present as a producer and host of ‘La Sery Inédite’ on Life TV, she took a several-month hiatus to develop new television concepts. Responding to the queries on Show Buzz on March 6, 2024, Dorcas mentioned that she was working behind the scenes on dynamic future projects for her audience. “Even in silence, we strive to create something extraordinary,” she confided.

The former beauty queen, who has made her mark both in Ivory Coast and internationally, Sery Djéhi Marie-Pierre Dorcas spoke about the impact of her title on her life: “Had it not been for my title, I wouldn’t have been the Dorcas people know today. I would have been Marie-Pierre, that is, I would have been a great woman. I would have been the fighting and ambitious woman that I am. I think my life would have been much more discreet. The difference is that having been Miss CI certainly turned me into a public figure. I think there wouldn’t have been a big difference otherwise.” Dorcas admitted, however, that becoming a public figure did change some dynamics of her life.

Reflecting on her childhood aspirations, Dorcas revealed that fame was not her original goal. It was the fashion icon, Naomi Campbell, who greatly inspired her, being the first black model to break down the stereotypes of the time. “As a child, I wanted to be a model. The idea of becoming famous was there, though I didn’t express it explicitly,” she conceded.

Regarding her private life, Sery Dorcas enjoys marital bliss with her companion, affectionately referred to as her “Knight.” While she preserves her partner’s anonymity, it is known to the public that they have consecrated their union through traditional rituals three years ago and plan a civil ceremony to formalize their commitment in the near future.
