The FIFA ranking for July 2025 was unveiled this Thursday by the global body. On the African scale, Morocco leads the pack, followed by Senegal and Egypt. Benin, on the other hand, dropped one spot and now ranks 96th.

FIFA published its updated nation rankings this Thursday, July 10th, following the June international break. The update wasn’t favorable for Benin, who recorded a slight drop.
The Cheetahs indeed lost one spot in the world ranking, slipping from 95th to 96th position. This new decline marks the second consecutive drop for the team led by Gernot Rohr.
On the continental level, however, Benin maintains its 21st African position. The top 3 also remain unchanged, with Morocco leading, followed by Senegal and Egypt to complete the podium.
On a global scale, Argentina retains the top position, followed by Spain and France. The top 10 is rounded out by Croatia, which pushes Italy to the 11th spot. The next FIFA rankings update is expected for September 18th, 2025.
