After Abomey-Calavi, where the first stop was a clear success, the citizen movement Ensemble on décolle hits the road again to Azovè this Saturday, November 29, and then Porto-Novo on Sunday, November 30, 2025. The goal remains to meet the population, especially young people, to inject a new momentum of action and commitment.

As soon as its stop in Azovè was announced, enthusiasm quickly spread among the local population. “Our goal is to decentralize inspiration, to show that every locality, from Cotonou to the smallest commune, is full of talents and ideas that are just waiting to ‘take off’,” explains Commander Habib Aboukhedoud, the project’s leader. He also notes that these cities represent an important step in the Movement’s local approach. “Azovè and Porto-Novo are therefore crucial steps in this vision”, he explained.

A free event to spark initiative

The Azovè stop will take place in the designated area of the bar La Confiance, in the morning, and will be completely free and open to the public. According to a member of the organizing team, the announcement is already generating “strong excitement among the local audience.”

Commander Habib Aboukhedoud’s intervention will focus essentially on changing mindsets, raising awareness and self-confidence — three pillars he considers essential to help young people overcome the barriers of underemployment, lack of guidance and discouragement.

Launched to support Beninese youth, Ensemble on décolle is an apolitical movement engaged in addressing concrete challenges such as unemployment, underemployment, and difficulties with academic and professional guidance. Through this tour, it intends to energize local initiatives across Benin.
