This Saturday, Kerozen took to his Facebook page to put an end to the controversy that has been lighting up the web for several days. « Thank you to you who supported me from the start of this matter… thank you for the strength », he writes.

« To protect my family and my honour, I had to react seriously to these defamatory remarks », the singer explained. According to him, he had initially intended to take the judicial process all the way. But it was his mother’s voice that convinced him to back down. « Joël, laisse tomber, Dieu a déjà fait », he quotes emotionally.

“Hoping that everyone has learned from this matter”

In his message, Kerozen stresses the lesson to be learned from this experience. « Hoping that everyone has learned from this affair, you don’t play with EVERYTHING! Let’s drop it! » A phrase that sounds like a desire for appeasement, after days of tensions and exchanged statements between him and Debordo Leekunfa.

The artist puts the file in the hands of his lawyer. “Avocato le reste est entre tes mains , mets nous à l’aise Opah .. L’élu”, one can read in his message. Arrested on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, kerozen was presented to the prosecutor on Thursday the 13th and then placed in Abidjan’s detention center where he has just spent his second night. He is being prosecuted for defamation for having publicly stated that Kerozen held weapons at his home.
