March 2026 FIFA window: Morocco’s squad list with Senegalese-origin defender Issa Diop
Morocco unveiled this Thursday its list of players selected for the March 2026 gathering. Called up for the first time, Issa Diop is part of the squad.
SUMMARY
Like other African national teams, Morocco will play two matches during the March international window. The Atlas Lions will face Ecuador (March 27 in Madrid) and Paraguay (March 31 in Lens). A final test for the Moroccan team before the 2026 World Cup. For this double fixture, the new head coach Mohamed Ouahbi has named a squad of 28 players.
The usual core players include Achraf Hakimi, Brahim Diaz, and Yassine Bounou. Seven new players also earn their first call-up: Gessime Yassine, Yassir Zabiri, Samir El Mourabet, and the Fulham defender Issa Diop, who said yes to the Moroccan national team.
