Tunisia
Tunisia is a country in North Africa located on the Mediterranean coast and at the edge of the Sahara Desert. The Bardo National Museum in Tunis, the capital, displays archaeological pieces ranging from Roman mosaics to Islamic art. The Medina Quarter, with its lively souk, surrounds the imposing Zitouna Mosque. To the east, on the site of the ancient city of Carthage, lie the Antonine Baths and other ruins, and the National Museum of Carthage and its many artifacts.
