Parakou : Herds of cattle disrupt classes at Kperou Guéra Public Primary School

The phenomenon, which has become almost daily, creates a climate of insecurity and seriously disrupts lessons.

According to testimony collected on site by Fraternité Fm, these unannounced intrusions cause panic among the children and force teachers to suspend classes. Some school equipment has also been damaged.

Despite repeated warnings addressed to the animals’ owners, the situation persists. Rodrigue Azandossessy, director of EPP Kperou Guéra Groupe A, says he is “deeply worried” and makes an urgent appeal to the local authorities :

We have contacted the competent services several times, but nothing changes. An urgent solution is needed before a serious incident occurs.

The school’s officials thus urge the municipal authorities and the livestock services to intervene without delay to put an end to this abnormal situation.

They remind that the school must remain a safe, peaceful and protected place of learning, free from any external disturbance.
