Ghana: Nicholas Mbir marries three women on the same day

- Publicité-

Nicholas Mbir, a Ghanaian resident of Dubai, made headlines after marrying three women on the same day—Saturday, April 26, 2025—in the Effutu Municipal District, located in Ghana’s Central Region.

The three brides, Angelina Prah, Grace Agyarko, and Esther Abass, were each engaged in separate ceremonies before a joint wedding celebration. According to those close to him, Mbir acted under “the power of the Holy Spirit” and in the name of fairness.

The engagements were held in succession: Angelina on Wednesday, April 23, Grace on Thursday, April 24, and Esther on Friday, April 25. The three women were then honored together during a festive celebration on Saturday. Widely shared photos on social media showed the four newlyweds dressed in traditional attire, beaming with joy.

Abeku Adams Ekumfi, who posted the ceremony images, described the event as a “spiritual victory over the constraints imposed by Christianity,” declaring that “the myth Christianity forced upon us has been broken by the power of the Holy Spirit.” He added that “fairness prevailed,” as all three wives were part of the same church choir as Mbir.

In addition to his role in the choir, Nicholas Mbir was recently appointed regional president of the Brotherhood of Iron and Gold (BIG) in the West African subregion. His status may have contributed to the symbolic impact of the triple union, which has since sparked widespread debate on religious and social norms across Ghanaian social media.
