Ghana, a West African nation located on the Gulf of Guinea, is known for its diverse wildlife, its ancient forts, and its secluded beaches, such as Busua Beach. The coastal towns of Elmina and Cape Coast feature posuban shrines (indigenous sanctuaries), colonial buildings, and various castles converted into museums that bear witness to the slave trade. To the north of Cape Coast, Kakum National Park offers a suspended walkway above the canopy of the tropical forest.
