According to information from the Daily Post, the Nigerian international is among the eight players of the Istanbul club who must avoid any booking during this Tuesday’s match. In case of a yellow card, Osimhen would be automatically suspended for the return match at Anfield.
The 27-year-old center-forward had already been cautioned during the return leg of the playoff round between Galatasaray and Juventus FC. Despite this looming sword of Damocles, Osimhen has so far delivered a remarkable European campaign: in eight appearances in the competition this season, he has already tallied seven goals and two assists.
