The suspense is intensifying in the UEFA Champions League. The draw for the Round of 16 of this edition is taking place this Friday morning, with the lineup now complete after the final playoff spots were confirmed midweek. Eight teams, group winners, will approach this draw with seeded status: Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Sporting CP and Manchester City.

On the other side, the eight playoff survivors will try to shake up the hierarchy: Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Newcastle United, Atlético Madrid, Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Galatasaray and Bodø/Glimt. The principle is clear: each seeded team will be opposed to a playoff winner, the order of the fixtures being determined by the draw. The clubs that finished top of their group will host the second leg.

The draw is set to begin at around 11 a.m. (GMT). The first legs are scheduled for March 10 and 11, while the second legs will be played on March 17 and 18. A new step toward the final, where European ambitions will start to truly unfold.
