Benin: the government provides support to the families of military personnel who died on a mission
The Beninese government reaffirmed its commitment to support the families of soldiers who died defending the country’s territorial integrity.

To help the widows and orphans of these soldiers get through the holiday season, the Ministry of Defense provided them with food kits comprising sacks of rice, sacks of maize, jerrycans of oil, and pasta…
At the ceremony, authorities stressed the importance of supporting the beneficiaries of the fallen soldiers, not only through financial measures but also through social and institutional support.
The President of the Republic, through his representatives, reminded everyone that the nation must honor those who served with loyalty and devotion, and that this commitment should translate into concrete actions for the families left at home.
The Minister of Defense also outlined the measures taken to ensure better support for widows, orphans, and the relatives of deceased service members. These measures include, in particular, special allowances, social benefits, and special advantages intended to ease the burden on families affected by these tragic losses.
Representatives of the beneficiary families expressed their gratitude. They praised the State’s solidarity and the recognition given to the sacrifices made by their relatives.
For them, this assistance is a tangible response from the nation to those who gave their lives in the service of the homeland.
