Apparences Saison 2: the return of the great Beninese saga on A+ Bénin
The Canal Olympia cinema in Wologuèdè hosted, this Thursday, the highly anticipated preview of season 2 of Apparence, the Beninese series that has won the hearts of African audiences. Amid applause, laughter and emotion, viewers were able to discover the first two episodes of this new season.

SUMMARY
Nearly a year after the resounding success of its first season, Apparences returns to A+ BENIN with a season 2, starting Tuesday, November 12 at 3:00 PM. The 100 % Beninese series, which has become a phenomenon, once again immerses viewers in the fascinating world of textiles, power and human passions.
The preview, held Thursday evening at Canal Olympia in Wologuèdè, brought together an enthusiastic crowd who discovered the first two episodes of this season. Cléli AZOKPOTA, Managing Director of A+ BENIN, praised the exceptional work of the local teams.
«Apparence is much more than a series. It’s a showcase for Beninese creativity, our culture, our fashion, our sets, and everything our country has to offer beyond its borders», she reminded, underscoring the channel’s mission: to support local creation and train the talents of tomorrow. Season 2, totaling 60 episodes, will be broadcast from November 12, Monday to Friday at 3 p.m. on A+ Bénin.
A plot more intense than ever
This season marks a turning point for the family saga. The stakes are raised, alliances are redrawn and secrets threaten to upset everything. Ouefa, a central figure in the series, struggles to preserve the unity of the Oni in the face of new dramas, betrayals and manipulations, in a storyline full of twists. Love, loyalty and resilience intertwine in this human fresco where each character reveals their true “apparences”.
Christiane Chabi Kao, the series’ creator, recalled the bold journey of the first season and the need to keep showcasing Beninese talent. She emphasized the South–South dimension of the project, bringing together teams and expertise from Benin, Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, and highlighted the importance of actor training to ensure a high level of performance and production.
The screening was followed by exchanges with the audience. Viewers questioned the actors about their preparation and how they felt about their roles. Brigitte, played by Beninese actress Florisse Adjanohou, explained her immersion work in the role, while Ouéfa stressed the distinction between fiction and reality on set. Marc Roladé (Julio Darius Abari) described his character as the emotional pillar of the series, the one who supports Ouéfa in her personal quest.
