Super Cup of Europe: PSG’s squad to face Aston Villa

Paris Saint-Germain is getting down to business. After several weeks of preparation and a period of rest following a historic season, the European champion returns to competition this Wednesday against Aston Villa for the UEFA Super Cup. For this first big matchup of the season, Luis Enrique has announced the list of selected players. The Spanish coach can notably count on several summer signings, including Maghnes Akliouche and Lucas Digne. Young goalkeeper Alessandro Longoni also completes the squad.

PSG will especially rely on the return of several of its French internationals. Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Lucas Hernandez, Warren Zaïre-Emery, and Bradley Barcola are all part of the Parisian group. The latter’s presence comes amid strong rumors linking him with Liverpool. Absent from the last preparation matches, Achraf Hakimi is also making his return. The Moroccan full-back should bring his experience to a Parisian team that is already aiming for its first trophy of the season.
