Sabi Korogoné reacts after an arrest warrant was issued against him
A few hours after an international arrest warrant was issued against him, Sabi Sira Korogoné broke his silence.

In a video widely shared on social media, the promoter of the Nikki initiative delivered a defiant speech in which he says he does not fear the head of state, Patrice Talon.
Korogoné mentioned the accusations that had targeted the current president before he came to power, recalling the attempted poisoning and coup d’état cases that fueled the political debate at the time and had led to an arrest warrant against Patrice Talon. That arrest warrant, he notes, did not prevent history from being written with the election of the man who had been exiled.
From that argument, he drew a parallel to justify his own ambition. In his words, “in the same way, I’m going to take power from him at the Palais de la Marina.”
He says he spoke with President Talon, who, according to him, would be aware of this stated intent. Without giving more details about these alleged exchanges, he insists that “no one will stop history from being written.”
In a posture mixing political defiance and a call for calm, he urged his supporters and the public to remain “calm”, despite the legal proceedings initiated against him.
