Parakou: Djibril Bio Nourou Dine officially installed on the Municipal Council
The Parakou City Council officially installed Mr. Djibril Bio Nourou Dine as a council member this Tuesday.

He succeeds the late Romain Batcho, whose death left a vacant seat in the city’s deliberative body.
The ceremony took place at the start of the third regular session of the year 2025, in the presence of council members, the three deputy mayors and several guests. The item related to this installation constituted the first official act on the agenda of this session.
As a legitimate representative of his political party, Djibril Bio Nourou Dine now takes part in municipal deliberations, at a pivotal moment for the city of Parakou.
His integration into the municipal team occurs just days before the celebrations marking the 65th anniversary of Benin’s independence, a portion of the official festivities of which will take place in the Borgou metropolis.
In the wake of the meeting, the city councilors began studying several major files, including the logistics and security organization of the August 1st parade, planned on Hubert Maga Boulevard.
Also on the agenda: the adoption of the report from the second special session and the examination of points related to local governance.
The arrival of this new councilor comes in a context characterized by high population expectations in terms of urban development, sanitation and local infrastructure. The now complete City Council is anticipated to effectively respond to the city’s priorities.
