After a promising start for the Spaniards, England took the lead at halftime with a score of 2-1. Harry Kane also missed the chance to extend the lead by sending a penalty kick off the crossbar.
Álex Baena brought Spain level in the second half, before Mikel Oyarzabal scored the winning goal. This victory extends the unbeaten streak of Luis de la Fuente’s team to 39 matches.
World and European champions, Spain secured three points in the A3 group. They will host Croatia on September 29, while England will travel to the Czech Republic on the same day.
