Israel lost 3-1 to Austria on Thursday, September 24, in their Nations League opener. Saied Abu Farchi, who equalized in the 55th minute, was sent off just a minute later following his celebration.
The 20-year-old player removed the corner flag and handled it like a weapon, mimicking a shot. Already cautioned four minutes earlier, he received a second yellow card, leaving Israel with ten men.
Romano Schmid opened the scoring with a penalty in the 43rd minute. Austria regained the lead through Phillipp Mwene in the 90th minute, before Sasa Kalajdzic extended the score to 3-1 in stoppage time.
