Malibu: Intruder enters Kamala Harris’s property

An individual unlawfully entered the property of Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff in Malibu on the evening of Friday, September 11. Private security intercepted the person before they could reach the house. The couple was not present, and no arrests were made.

Officers from the Lost Hills station, part of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, were called around 10:30 pm after the security team of the former U.S. Vice President reported a “suspicious person.”

According to the sheriff, the police found the individual outside the property upon their arrival. They asked the person to leave, and the individual departed voluntarily without incident.

Kamala Harris’s spokesperson, Eduardo Negrón, clarified that the individual had illegally entered the property but was stopped by private agents before reaching the house. Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff were not on-site.

An intrusion report has been filed, and patrols in the area are set to be increased. Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the individual, any potential motive, or whether charges will be pursued.

Kamala Harris no longer receives the extended protection from the Secret Service that was granted by Joe Biden. Donald Trump revoked this extension in August 2025.
