CAF Champions League: Simba crushes Mighty Wanderers 6-1, 7-1 on aggregate

Simba SC dominated Mighty Wanderers 6-1 on Sunday, September 13, in Dar es Salaam, securing their place in the final qualifying round of the CAF Champions League. The Tanzanian club advances with an aggregate score of 7-1.

Having already won 1-0 in Malawi during the first leg thanks to Anicet Oura, Simba quickly established control in the return match. At Uhuru Stadium, the Tanzanians led 3-1 at halftime before adding three more goals in the second half.

According to Ahram Online and The Citizen, the match concluded with a resounding 6-1 scoreline, sending Simba to the decisive round before the group phase. Libasse Gueye notably shone with a brace, as reported by both accounts.

Simba heads into the next round with a confident attack, having scored seven goals across the two legs against the Malawian champions.

In the same preliminary round, FC San Pedro also secured qualification against Rivers United after a 2-2 draw in Nigeria.
