As the clash between Chelsea FC and Manchester City approaches, Alan Shearer delivered his prediction. The Blues will host the Citizens at Stamford Bridge, on Sunday, in a high-stakes match. Chelsea approaches this fixture after an FA Cup victory over Port Vale, while City remains on a convincing win over Liverpool FC.
In his column for Metro, the Newcastle United legend nonetheless expressed his confidence in Pep Guardiola’s men. “Manchester City must win all their matches now, especially with this huge clash against Arsenal next weekend,” he wrote. He continued: “I think they will keep this momentum going, and I think City will beat Chelsea.” And he concluded on the stakes of the title race: “If City doesn’t win and Arsenal win this weekend, then I think the Premier League title race will be definitively over.”
