After years of silence due to her illness, stiff-person syndrome, Celine Dion made a noticeable return on Monday, April 22, 2024. Her comeback was highlighted on the prestigious pages of Vogue France magazine.

Celine Dion, the Canadian singer who has stayed away from the spotlight for a long time, appears truly determined not to be brought down by the illness she has been battling for a while. Following her recent surprise appearance at the Grammy Awards, the 56-year-old star once again reassures her fans with good news.

She decided to lend her image for the May 2024 cover of the French edition of the international magazine, Vogue. It was also an opportunity for her to slightly unveil details about her illness in an interview. She also revealed the immense effort she undergoes daily to make a comeback on stage. During a video conference from Las Vegas, the singer initially stated, “I’m doing well, but it’s a lot of work. Today, I am a woman who feels very strong to move forward. One day at a time.” She added, “For four years, I told myself I wouldn’t go back, that I am ready, that I am not ready… Today, I can’t say: ‘Yes, in four months.’ I don’t know… My body will tell me. However, I don’t just want to wait. It’s mentally tough to live day by day. It’s hard, I work very hard, and tomorrow will be even tougher.

Furthermore, the Canadian diva and mother of three boys, including twins, expressed her honor to be featured on the cover of Vogue France, available since Wednesday, April 24, in kiosks and online. She remarked that when she was at her physical and beauty peak at 30, she had never been asked. “I’m very proud that at 55, they asked me to reveal my beauty. But what is beauty? Beauty is you, it’s me, it’s inside, it’s our dreams, it’s today. […] Today, I am a woman who feels very strong to move forward. One day at a time,” she said.
