On site, the buildings have been demolished, leaving rubble behind—a finding observed on the spot.

The CENA had vacated these premises at the end of November 2025, in the midst of the 2026 general elections process. This relocation is part of the site development projects.

In a post on its Facebook page, the electoral institution explained that, with the site previously occupied being affected by these projects, it would now be located in the premises of the former INFOSEC, near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation as well as the Benin Radio and Television Company in Cotonou.

The Commission says it carried out this relocation to ensure continuity of service and to meet the requirements of a modern administrative environment.

It also reassures the proper functioning of its services during this transition phase.
According to the CENA, electoral operations continue without interruption, guaranteeing the availability of the usual services to all stakeholders in the electoral process as well as to users.
