Bembéréké: a couple robbed at home, over 15 million CFA francs taken
A couple residing in Kassarou, within the municipality of Bembéréké, fell victim to a robbery on the night of Saturday, July 5, to Sunday, July 6, 2025. According to the reports by Nonsina FM, seven armed individuals broke into their home and absconded with a total sum of 15.5 million CFA francs, without causing any injuries.

The attack occurred shortly after one in the morning, in the Bouanri district. The assailants, all mask-clad, fired multiple shots in the air to intimidate the occupants. Caught off guard, El Hadj Bani and his wife Azia were forced under threat to hand over their cash: 15 million CFA francs from the wife, 500,000 CFA francs from the husband, according to the same sources.
No physical violence was reported, but the couple was deeply shocked by the psychological violence of the operation. The culprits left the premises without leaving any obvious trace.
An investigation has been opened by security forces in an attempt to identify the perpetrators of this robbery.
