Togba: 34 motorcycles seized, owners urged to identify them

The operation led officers to a shop specializing in motorcycle sales. In total, 84 vehicles were seized to allow for checks on their origin and identification.
After technical inspections, 34 motorcycles were isolated. According to the Republican Police, their chassis numbers have been erased or altered, hindering traceability. The affected vehicles also lack parts that would clearly establish their identity or origin.
These anomalies raise suspicions about the origins of the motorcycles, although it has not yet been established that all 34 vehicles are stolen. The checks are intended to match the characteristics of the seized motorcycles with reports made by potential victims.
The Togba police station thus invites anyone who has lost a motorcycle to come to its premises with documents that may prove their ownership. Investigators will then be able to compare these documents with the details found on the retained vehicles.
After verification, vehicles with established ownership may be returned to their rightful owners.
