SPL: Cristiano Ronaldo hits the 100-goal mark in the Saudi Pro League
Still as decisive with Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo scored Thursday night his 100th goal in the Saudi Pro League in the win over Al Shabab. At 41, the Portuguese star continues to rack up the stats and to lead his team in the title race.
Al Nassr’s striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, has reached a new historic milestone by scoring his 100th goal in the Saudi Pro League. The Portuguese star reached this symbolic milestone Thursday night during his team’s 4-2 victory over Al Shabab. The other key man of the match was João Félix. The Portuguese international, who bagged a hat-trick, greatly contributed to Al Nassr’s win, which cements its place at the top of the table with a five-point lead.
Cristiano Ronaldo found the back of the net in the 75th minute after pouncing on a ball poorly controlled by Sadio Mané, allowing his side to pull further clear on the scoreboard. At 41, the five-time Ballon d’Or continues to rack up records and reaches the 100-goal mark in the Saudi league in less than four seasons. With 26 goals already this season, Ronaldo remains one of the main architects of Al Nassr’s title bid.
