Benin: Joseph Djogbénou appoints the new section presidents of UP le Renouveau.
The president of the Progressive Union for Renewal (UP le Renouveau), Professor Joseph Fifamin Djogbénou, has officially announced the appointment of section presidents of the party throughout the national territory.
Decision No. 10/UP-R/BP/DEN/HDP/PDT/SG/SA, signed on Monday, August 17, 2026, in Cotonou, is part of the internal structuring of the political formation.
This series of appointments comes in accordance with the statutes of UP le Renouveau adopted on August 12, 2023, as well as the guidelines set by the note of June 1, 2026, regarding the allocation of leadership positions and the organization of grassroots structures.
According to Article 2 of the decision, the appointed officials have the main mission of ensuring the dynamism, coordination, and monitoring of the activities of their respective sections, under the direct supervision of the competent leading bodies of the party.
Deployment across all constituencies
The measure covers all electoral constituencies in the country, from the 1st to the 24th. Officials have thus been appointed in various major municipalities and districts, such as Kandi, Malanville, Parakou, Djougou, Natitingou, Abomey-Calavi, Cotonou, Porto-Novo, Lokossa, and Bohicon.
The monitoring and execution of this decision, which takes effect immediately from the date of its signing, has been entrusted to the General Secretariat of the party.
