Women’s market: Ivorian Habibou Ouédraogo joins OM
Olympique de Marseille officially announced on August 11 the arrival of the Ivorian international forward Habibou Ouédraogo, coming from ASEC Mimosas. At 24 years old, she joins the women’s team led by Nicolas Chabot to experience the French championship.

SUMMARY
Born on February 18, 2002, Habibou Ouédraogo has represented Côte d’Ivoire since 2025, as stated by OM. Her journey has also taken her to Burkina Faso, where she played for Danta AC starting in 2021, but her sporting nationality is Ivorian.
The forward leaves ASEC after three seasons during which she finished as the league’s top scorer three times. She scored 40 goals in the 2025-2026 season, according to OM and the Abidjan club.
With ASEC, she won two consecutive titles as champion of Côte d’Ivoire, not three. She also contributed to the championship title of the UFOA-B zone and helped the club reach the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2025.
A first experience in European football
Habibou Ouédraogo began her training at JFC Marcory before joining Danta AC. Returning to Côte d’Ivoire in 2023, she won the national cup with Inter d’Abidjan, scoring a brace in the final, before signing with ASEC Mimosas the same year.
Her 2025 continental season earned her the trophy for best player of the CAF Women’s Champions League. ASEC also recognizes her as the best player of the UFOA-B 2025 tournament, two accolades that reflect her consistency in the Ivorian league.
OM describes her as a versatile and athletic forward, capable of attacking the depth, holding the ball with her back to the play, and providing a presence in the box. Her recruitment is expected to offer an additional option to the Marseille offensive sector.
Neither Olympique de Marseille nor ASEC Mimosas has communicated the length of the contract, the transfer fee, or the player’s jersey number in their official announcements.
