SUMMARY

The main contract, valued at 159.83 billion naira, involves the reconstruction of the Ado-Ekiti–Iyin–Aramoko–Itawure road up to the border of Osun State. It has been awarded to CBC Global Civil and Building Construction Nigeria Limited.

The government also approved a modification of 54.12 billion naira for the rehabilitation of the Abeokuta–Iboro–Ilaro axis in Ogun State, as well as a contract of 74.51 billion to reconstruct 15 kilometers between Port Harcourt, Eleme Junction, and Onne Port Junction on the East-West Road.

Two other contracts concern the second phase of the Ado-Ekiti–Afe Babalola University road, for 54.52 billion naira, and phases II to V of the Ilara–Iselu road, for 94.24 billion. The latter is to be executed by JRB Construction Company Limited over an announced period of 24 months.

Separately approved PPP concessions

The approximately 438 billion naira does not represent a package intended for public-private partnerships but corresponds to the five road contracts. The Executive Council, in a separate decision, approved three highway and logistics concessions with a reported value of 172.88 billion naira.

The first concerns the development of the Dikko–Maje section of the Suleja–Minna road, spanning 7.9 kilometers, for 56.75 billion naira. The concession, planned for 40 years, is to be awarded to Graciatech Engineering Nigeria Limited.

The second pertains to the operation and maintenance of the Lagos–Ibadan highway, for 96.43 billion naira and a duration of 25 years, benefiting LIB Concession Group. The third entails the construction of a truck park in Aro-Ngwa, Abia State, for 19.70 billion and a 50-year concession to Greg Jane International Limited.

Among the conventional contracts, the Port Harcourt–Onne section has been given a reported deadline of nine months, while the Ilara–Iselu road is to be delivered in 24 months. Other detailed timelines were not specified in the summary presented after the federal meeting.
