FC Barcelona is accelerating behind the scenes. With just a few days before their debut in La Liga, scheduled for Sunday on Elche’s pitch, the blaugrana club will launch the necessary procedures to register its recruits, according to Sport. Now subject to the 1:1 rule, Barça has a more comfortable financial leeway than in previous seasons. The Catalan leaders hope to quickly validate the licenses of Rodri, Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, and Hamza Abdelkarim. Jesse Bisiwu, on the other hand, is expected to be registered with Barça Atlètic. The case of Andreas Christensen also needs to be regularized following the extension of his contract.

João Cancelo, however, remains the main point of uncertainty. Arriving on a free transfer after leaving Al-Hilal and committed until 2029, the Portuguese fullback only joined Catalonia on August 17. Therefore, Barça has less time to finalize his registration. Nevertheless, the Catalan management remains confident and counts on the final operations of the transfer window to create the necessary leeway. The goal is simple: to ensure all signings are qualified and avoid any administrative surprises before the trip to Elche on Sunday at 9:30 PM.
