Nigerian beauty and wellness group ORÍKÌ has opened a spa in Abu Dhabi, marking its first location outside the African continent. The new facility is located on the second floor of Al Wahda Mall, where the Emirati branch is now accepting reservations.

This new address expands the company’s reach into a fourth country after Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda. According to an announcement published on September 10 by BellaNaija, the network now comprises 16 locations with this opening.

This expansion comes for a brand that has developed around body and facial treatments, massages, and beauty products. On its Nigerian website, ORÍKÌ also sells skincare and bath products and offers training for spa professions.

The brand’s identity remains strongly tied to Africa. ORÍKÌ explains that it has built its universe around natural ingredients and inspiration drawn from the continent. Its name comes from Yoruba, a widely spoken language in Nigeria, where “oríkì” refers to a tradition of names and praises associated with origin and identity.

The Emirati showcase incorporates part of this universe with masks, exfoliants, body oils, and facial cleansers. It notably marks the group’s first physical presence outside Africa, following a development focused on several African cities.

The Abu Dhabi spa is announced as open to the public at Al Wahda Mall, second floor, store 237. A booking module is active on ORÍKÌ’s official website in the United Arab Emirates.
