Bella Okagbue opted for a long black mesh dress for the white wedding of Akin Faminu and Kiky Festus. Designed by Dorhann by Hannah, the creation features a beaded backless neckline, side cutouts, and a mermaid skirt extended by a small train.

This choice stands out because black has long been considered too austere for weddings. However, this code has significantly relaxed. Vogue and Brides remind us that a black outfit is now widely accepted for guests, especially during a formal or evening celebration, provided it adheres to the dress code and the couple’s cultural customs.

On Bella Okagbue, the dark color is anything but minimalistic. The mesh overlay on a nude base adds transparency, the pearls provide texture, and the feather boa enhances the retro vibe. The mini golden crystal bag and matching earrings add enough sparkle to avoid a uniform look.
