Market: Dodo Dokou returns to Egypt

Dodo Dokou is changing scenery and returning to a league he knows well. The Beninese midfielder has officially joined Arab Contractors FC, which announced his arrival on Tuesday, August 18, through its various communication channels. This signing comes a few weeks after the end of his adventure with Leixões SC, a club in the Portuguese second division. Arriving in Portugal with the ambition to reach a new level, the Cheetah did not truly manage to establish himself during his first season. The two parties eventually decided to mutually terminate their collaboration.

For Dokou, this return to Egypt presents a new opportunity to regain playing time and consistency. The 25-year-old is particularly familiar with the Egyptian league, having worn Smouha’s colors for three seasons. He didn’t take long to stand out in his new colors, as he found the net during a friendly match played on Tuesday. After a difficult season in Portugal, Dodo Dokou now aims to start afresh in Egypt and establish himself as one of the key players for Arab Contractors.
