Manchester United: Marcus Rashford could return to the field after 20 months away.

Marcus Rashford could make his long-awaited return in a Manchester United shirt this weekend. The English forward is included in the squad selected by Michael Carrick for the Red Devils’ final friendly match, on Saturday in Poland against AC Milan. A potential appearance would be a significant event for Rashford, who has been absent from Manchester United matches for nearly 20 months. The England international could also see Ruben Amorim, his former coach, who is now in charge of AC Milan. Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez are also part of the squad for this trip.

On the other hand, Benjamin Sesko will not be making the trip. Back at Carrington, the Slovenian forward has yet to participate in any pre-season match with Manchester United. The player is continuing his recovery program after a shin injury sustained this summer. However, he should be sufficiently recovered to participate in the first match of the season in the Premier League, against Hull.

Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt have also returned to the Carrington training center. The English midfielder had to leave his teammates during the match against PSG last weekend after getting injured just 20 minutes after kickoff. He did not play in the match against Leeds this week. Manchester United is thus playing its final pre-season match with several important returns, as the official start approaches rapidly.
