Ivory Coast launches a project to identify cashew operators.

The country is the world’s leading producer of cashew nuts. Cashew also represents the third source of export revenue in the Ivorian agricultural sector, following cocoa and natural rubber.

The IEEA project is expected to census the operators and farms dedicated to cashew cultivation. Its official launch took place in Korhogo, in the northern part of the country, a significant production area.

According to information provided by the CCAK, the establishment of this database should provide a more accurate understanding of the sector’s structure. It could particularly facilitate the identification of producers and improve the targeting of public actions and operators working in the sector.

A Database to Better Direct Resources
