Despite the many rumors surrounding a possible departure this summer, the Spanish coach reminded that he was still under contract until 2027 and intends to continue his journey with the Citizens.

Touted as leaving at the end of the season, the Spanish coach said that he had no intention of quitting the Citizens this summer. Under contract until June 2027, Guardiola still has one year left on his deal with the Manchester club.
Speaking at a press conference before the clash against Chelsea, the former FC Barcelona and the FC Bayern Munich coach brushed aside rumors of an imminent departure. « PNo way. I still have one year left on my contract », he said firmly. Asked later about the legacy left during his time at Manchester City, Guardiola did not hide his satisfaction. « Yes, of course, 19 titles in ten years, that’s not bad », the 55-year-old manager said. Since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium in 2016, Guardiola has transformed Manchester City into a trophy machine, stamping his domination in England as well as in Europe.
