In a message shared on her Snapchat story, which was reported on Friday, September 18, 2026, by Afriksoir and Yop L-FRII, she clarified that she does not retract her testimony regarding the altercation that led to the legal proceedings.
Salimata explained that she made this decision after several individuals approached her, as she claims, to seek her forgiveness on behalf of JP N’Da. She stated that she chose to show clemency and affirmed that she is not seeking any compensation.
The case erupted in early September following a gathering of several influencers in Senegal. Salimata had accused JP N’Da and another content creator of violence and humiliation. JP N’Da contested this account, while the conflicting narratives sparked numerous reactions on social media in both Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal.
Senegalese media later reported the arrest and subsequent detention of JP N’Da following the complaint. This measure does not imply a declaration of guilt: the influencer remains presumed innocent until a definitive judicial decision establishes his responsibility.
Salimata states she does not retract her account
In her statement, Salimata emphasizes that her announced withdrawal of the complaint does not erase what she claims to have experienced. She does not retract her statements regarding the events and presents her decision as a personal choice for peace.
The content creator indicates that she has forgiven JP N’Da while leaving the continuation of the case to the judicial authorities. In her message, she asserts that the next steps now belong to justice and God.
On September 8, Zagba le Requin had already urged JP N’Da’s supporters to prioritize official channels and to avoid insults and excesses on social media, as the situation of the Ivorian influencer was generating significant mobilization in Côte d’Ivoire.
