In Benin, the Professional Handball League kicks off on November 7

The Benin Handball Federation has set the schedule for the statutory competitions in 2026. The Professional League will commence on November 7 and run until February 6, 2027, while the youth categories will begin their initial phases starting September 26.

For the cadet and junior categories, the departmental phase is scheduled from September 26 to October 4. This will be followed by the zonal phase, planned for October 10 to 18. The national phases will take place from December 19 to 23 for cadets and from December 26 to 30 for juniors.

Amateur teams will compete in their zonal phase from October 14 to 25. The qualified teams will then meet for the national phase, set for October 31 to November 4.

For professional clubs, the FBHB has reserved the period from November 7, 2026, to February 6, 2027. The league format is yet to be finalized, according to the federation.
