Rwanda is a landlocked country in East Africa with a lush, mountainous landscape. Its famous Volcanoes National Park is home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. The park also includes Mount Karisimbi, at 4,507 meters in elevation, and four other forest-covered volcanoes. To the southwest, Nyungwe National Park has an ancient montane tropical forest that is home to chimpanzees and other primates.
