The Council of Ministers, meeting on Wednesday, September 2nd, approved the appointment of Honorat Gbondjinon as the Director General of the National Water Company of Benin (SONEB).

The new director succeeds Kassim Gbian as head of the state agency. He takes over a strategically important portfolio that faces crucial challenges in optimizing the provision of potable water, both in the city of Cotonou and in the country’s secondary cities.
His mission will be to consolidate the progress made in hydraulic infrastructure, to reduce technical losses, and to complete the modernization projects underway to meet the high expectations of the population regarding water services.
