This Wednesday, December 17, the institution officially handed to the political parties taking part a sample of the single ballot. The ceremony was led by the president of CENA, Sacca Lafia.

All formations engaged in the electoral process received the same number of copies, in accordance with the principle of equality among political actors. Moele-Bénin, the Bloc Républicain, Union Progressiste Le Renouveau and the party Les Démocrates are among the beneficiaries.

By making this document available to the parties well before the official start of the campaign, CENA intends to allow them to become familiar with the voting tool. The aim is also to give them the necessary time to raise awareness among party members and supporters about how to use it, in order to reduce the risk of mistakes on election day.

The single ballot plays a central role in the electoral system. It brings together, on a single sheet, all the competing parties, identifiable by their respective logos, which is intended to make it easier for voters to choose.

This early handover also allows political parties to verify the information concerning them, notably the symbols, colors and their placement on the document.

Sacca Lafia stated that one thousand copies of the specimen were handed to each party. He stressed that this step does not mark the start of the electoral campaign, but is exclusively a technical and preparatory measure intended to strengthen the transparency and clarity of the process.
