Ballon d’Or 2026: Ousmane Dembélé supports Kvaratskhelia
Teammate of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at Paris Saint-Germain, Ousmane Dembélé did not hesitate to name the Georgian as his favorite for the 2026 Ballon d’Or. The Frenchman believes that the Parisian forward fully deserves to win the prestigious award.
Ousmane Dembélé has chosen his side. While the Ballon d’Or 2026 will be awarded on October 26 in London, the Paris Saint-Germain forward is advocating for his teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Both players are among the 30 nominees for this edition. A few weeks before the ceremony, Dembélé shared his thoughts on the Georgian’s chances and did not hold back in his praise for him.
“Kvaratskhelia is the best player in the world, I would be delighted if he wins the Ballon d’Or ,” said the French international. He added: “In my opinion, he deserves it. ” Arriving at PSG in January 2025, Kvaratskhelia quickly established himself as one of the key players in the Parisian squad. Last season, the capital club notably won the Champions League, a success that bolsters the individual ambitions of its players in the race for the Ballon d’Or. Dembélé, also named among the contenders, is therefore openly supporting his teammate’s candidacy. The verdict will be announced on October 26 in London.
