UFOA B U20: the Amazons fall to Nigeria and end a difficult campaign
Dominated by the Falconets, already crowned before the match, the young Beninese concluded the UFOA-B U20 Women’s Cup 2025 with a fourth defeat in as many games.

Benin’s campaign at the UFOA-B U20 Women’s Cup 2025 ended this Wednesday, November 12, in Adjohoun with another disappointment. Facing Nigeria, already crowned champions before kick-off, the U20 Amazons lost (0-1) on matchday 6, thus finishing their tournament without a single goal scored.
The situation quickly got difficult for the players coached by the technical duo Abdoulaye Ouzérou – Adam Adicatou, who were caught out as early as the 17th minute by a Nigerian strike. Despite strong fighting spirit and a clear desire to finish on a positive note, the Beninese were unable to turn the tide against a Falconets side that was more experienced and confident in its strength.
With four defeats, eight goals conceded and none scored, Benin finished bottom of this second edition, which was dominated from start to finish by Nigeria, succeeding Ghana, the winner of the first edition in 2023 in Kumasi.
A harsh record, but one that underlines the importance of continuity and hard work in preparing for future fixtures. The U20 Amazons leave the competition hoping to learn from this experience and to bounce back in upcoming regional and continental campaigns.
