UFOA-B U15: School Cheetahs in the final, Amazons stopped at the gates of their dream
The semifinals of the UFOA-B school tournament, a qualifier for CAN Scolaire 2026, concluded on Wednesday, with mixed fortunes for the Beninese teams.

In the boys’ competition, the U15 Cheetahs delivered a solid performance to secure their place in the final. Facing Burkina Faso, they won by the narrowest of margins thanks to a strike from Bachirou M., who scored the decisive goal at the end of a fiercely contested match. Benin will now try to lift the trophy against Niger, who in turn knocked out Ghana.
The run was less favorable for the U15 Amazons. The Beninese side, brave and well organised defensively, held their own against Burkina Faso during regular time, finishing the match goalless. But the penalty shootout proved fatal, with the Burkinabè winning 3-2. The young Amazons will still have the chance to end the tournament on a positive note by aiming for third place in the third-place match.
