Transfer market: Manchester United no longer rely on André Onana.
Despite his desire to return to Manchester United after his loan at Trabzonspor, André Onana would no longer be part of the Red Devils’ plans, who are already seeking another exit for the former Inter Milan goalkeeper.
Manchester United is said to have decided to definitively close the chapter on André Onana as the next summer transfer window approaches. Loaned this season to Trabzonspor after several performances deemed disappointing at Old Trafford, the Cameroonian goalkeeper will see his loan spell come to an end in the coming weeks. According to ESPN, Onana would like to return to Manchester United in order to try to win back his place in the Red Devils’ squad after the club qualified for the next Champions League.
But the Manchester United board would no longer count on the former goalkeeper of Inter Milan and AFC Ajax for next season. Manchester United had already identified Senne Lammens as one of the profiles considered to strengthen the goalkeeper position. Still according to the same source, the English club had begun studying several options in order to find a new destination for the 30-year-old player during the summer.
