Safarel Obiang has made his preference clear between two major figures in Ivorian rap. In an interview published on Thursday, September 10, 2026, by L’Avenir, the artist stated that he identifies more with Himra, while emphasizing that this choice does not reflect any hostility towards Didi B.

The singer explained that his choice is primarily based on style, vision, and artistic attitude. He noted that he finds in Himra a “gang” energy reminiscent of his own early days and recalled knowing the rapper since 2016, when he would attend some of his performances.

However, Safarel Obiang is careful to separate musical preference from personal rivalry. He described Didi B as a talented artist and stressed that his choice is a matter of taste, not a rejection. This distinction comes amid a landscape of Ivorian rap where comparisons between Himra and Didi B frequently fuel fan discussions.
