Market: Trabzonspor confident in keeping André Onana, Djibril Cissé’s son signs with Liverpool

The president of Trabzonspor, Ertuğrul Doğan, expressed optimism about André Onana’s future. After a season on loan at the Turkish club, the Cameroon goalkeeper could establish himself long-term in the Süper Lig. Returning to Manchester United at the end of his loan, the former Inter Milan keeper remains in Trabzonspor’s plans, which now hopes to retain him permanently.

In an interview with Ajansspor, Ertuğrul Doğan suggested that discussions were moving in the right direction. “I believe André Onana will stay with us. We have met his financial expectations. The fans appreciate him greatly, and he feels good at the club. I don’t see any major issues with this matter,” said the Turkish executive. He added: “I’m not sure he can find the same level of interest and trust elsewhere. That’s why I believe he will continue his adventure with us.”

In a completely different context, Liverpool has officially signed Prince Cissé’s first professional contract, son of former French international and Reds forward Djibril Cissé. At 17 years old, the young player continues his development at the Mersey club, which he joined from the youth categories. He has made a notable start to the season with the under-21s, notably finding the back of the net in his early appearances under Rob Page.

Originally trained as a forward, Prince Cissé has gradually moved back on the pitch and now primarily plays as a central defender, where he is considered one of the most promising prospects in Liverpool’s academy.
