Madagascar is a vast island country located off the southeast coast of Africa. It is home to thousands of endemic animal species such as lemurs, as well as rainforests, beaches, and reefs. Near the bustling capital, Antananarivo, lies the Ambohimanga hill, a complex of royal palaces and cemeteries, as well as the Avenue of the Baobabs, a dirt road lined with giant trees several centuries old.
